Sad news on the passing of Alan Varley

Ponteland Rugby Club is deeply saddened to report the passing of a great friend of the club Alan Varley, who passed away on Tuesday 31st October.
Alan was an absolute gentleman and will be hugely missed by not only his family and friends but also the wider community.
A very active Town Councillor for many years, Alan was Mayor of Ponteland from 2017 to 2021.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Linda, Joanne and JV.
